Wakatobi,
when hearing that name that comes to mind is surely an underwater paradise full
of coral reefs and beautiful fishes that swim in between the coral. You are not
wrong, Wakatobi is famous as a tourist destination famous for its natural
beauty under the sea. Therefore, this place is famous among tourists as the
best destination for diving and snorkeling. As a national marine park owned by
Indonesia, its biodiversity is well maintained. In Wakatobi, there are more
than 750 of the 842 species of coral reefs in the world, or about 90% of the
coral species are here.

National Park is located in Wakatobi District, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Inside the Country Map of Indonesia, Wakatobi is at the bottom of Sulawesi
Island. In 2012, UNESCO establishes Wakatobi as one of the Biosphere Reserve in
Indonesia. The name Wakatobi comes from the names of the four major islands,
namely Wangi-Wangi (WA), kaledupa (KA), Tomia (TO), and Binongko (BI).
